This is a story that I read when I was high school days.
Once, a Camel started a journey. He carried a bundle of straw for his food on his way to journey. It seemed to me that he consumed some of the straw along the way.
En route, the remaining straw became heavier and heavier as he crossed a river. Weighted by the wet straw, he did not continue his journey any longer. And then he threw it. After that, “Well, now I feel very light and comfortable by throwing this burden!", he remarked.
In fact, he carried that bundle of straw as his ration or food. He threw it because it became heavier by wetting with water, and he was unable to continue his journey. Not because it is useless but because it is very hard to go on by carrying that heavy item.
We can consider in another way. If he wanted to carry it in necessity, he could wait and make it dry under the sunshine.
However, it could be delay to reach his setting destination by doing all these.
Our life is made up of time?
I think the situation, like river, changed his ration into burden, the useful thing into trash.
In the same way, along the journey of our life, there are many things to throw or leave or abandon what we brought in the beginning until we arrive at our setting destination. They will be some ideas, works, chances and opportunities.
The reason why we should have to throw or leave is not that all these things are useless. It is because taking risk and giving sacrifices are unavoidable things to get what we want and what we want to be.
In business, “Big risk, big benefit” is well-known. There will be no successful business neither taking risks nor giving sacrifices. Similarity, there is no way to get achievement our goals in life either taking risks or giving sacrifices.
We consume and grasp ideas, thoughts, concepts and opportunities in different ages and stages in all the walks of life.
Day by day, we should have to throw what we grasp and what we consume (ideas, thoughts, concepts and opportunities) in connection with our ages and experiences,
It is sure that there will be many things to throw or abandon. As a result, there will be some collections after crossing rivers of life, one after another.
But, it is not easy to make decision what to throw and what to hold in our daily life.
“Grasp All, Lose All”.
It is impossible to grasp all the things. We should have to have courage to make a choice;
“Throw, Or Hold”.
To reach our destination, we should to take the compulsory and the necessity.
Nevertheless, everyone needs to throw or abandon or leave something on the way of his life journey to get the setting goals or destinations.
DARE TO THROW SOMETHING!
